Wedding season has officially started which means LOTS of wedding planning to go (we see you!). This month we’re getting educational, think of this as your bridal cheat sheet, with everything you actually need to know before saying yes to the dress.

If we're honest sometimes bridal sizing makes zero sense and that’s not your fault. So if you’re usually a size 10 and we tell you your dress is being ordered in a 14… breathe. That’s totally normal!   Bridal sizes run small Every designer fits differently We don’t guess your size, we measure you and order the fit that suits your body best   Bottom line: ignore the number on the tag - you’re not a size, you’re a bride!

Welcome to Style School: Gowns, Cuts & Fabrics

So many brides come to us not knowing the difference between a-line and fit & flare. You’re not alone! Here are a few things we’ll guide you through at your appointment: 🤍 Fabrics - Want floaty and romantic? Go chiffon or tulle. Structured? Mikado's your girl 🤍 Cuts - A-line highlights the waist and covers the hips, fit & flare shows off your beautiful curves, ballgown brings the drama with a dreamy shape 🤍 Details - Want to show off your back? We’ll find you a low-back moment. Hate your arms? Let’s talk detachable sleeves. Love a corset snatch? We have in-built support you'll be obsessed with!

Have an appointment booked with us and not sure what to expect? Here's a little bitesized run down of what your ABC experience will look like: 

1. You'll be greeted by our lovely hostess who will welcome you into store with a glass of fizz for you and your guests!

2.  After meeting your dedciated stylist, you will head to your suite of choice to start your appointment (the excitement is real)

3. You’ll try on a gorgeous line-up of dresses from your wishlist and styles we think you’ll love. There’s support, tissues (if needed) and advice the whole way through

And when you say yes?

You and your guests will celebrate with a complimentary cocktail at Papa G’s - 

our very own exclusive bridal bar. Trust us, it’s the perfect way to toast your dress moment, plus get lots of photos!
